FAMILY

Please note that all the Auzenne family background is the intellectual property of the player behind Lucienaux de Auzenne:
"House de Auzenne sports an old, auspicious lineage. Some centuries before the conclusion of the Dragonsong War, a most influential daughter of the Lord Durendaire of that period was given leave to wed a great champion within the Dragonsong War, Ser Marcellaux de Auzenne. Together they would lay the foundation for the legacy that would come to enshrine the Auzenne as a family worthy of its parentage. Like their patrons, the Auzenne have ever been staunch allies of the imperatives of the Archbishop and the edicts put down by the Holy See. Theirs is a storied history littered with the inevitable gains and losses that are ever implemented in the ruin of war.
Thus they have produced generation after generation of knights, clergymen, scholars that patterned the stars, and even a knight of the Heavensward.. Yet was with any great family so too have they been given to harbor great secrets. Decades before the fall of the Archbishop House de Auzenne was riddled with scandal that saw the Viscount, Cesaireaux de Auzenne, lose his heir and a witch stripped from the annals of Ishgardian history.
In recent years, however, the scandal is long since past. There are whispers of it, of course, and indeed those whispers were renewed upon the return of an ill-begotten errant son. Nevertheless, the Auzenne are intent on ensuring their fortunes and influence within the ever shifting political paradigms of Ishgard in the wake of Archbishop Thordan VIII’s fall."

“Authority. Erudition. Prosperity.”
Coat of Arms

Family
Severine de Auzenne, nominal Head of the House ( ♥ Alive, NPC )
Justinielle's grandmother and the figure head of the House. Justinielle constantly failed to see eye to eye with her.
Viscount Cesaireaux de Auzenne, aged 80~90 ( ♥ Alive, NPC )
Justinielle's grandfather, someone she looks up to and never ceases to try to impress. She is trying her best to prove herself worthy and seeks his approval despite what others may describe as a rebelious attitude.
Artoirel de Auzenne, current heir of House de Auzenne ( ♥ Alive, NPC )
Justinielle's father, a figure of attachment and one of Justinielle's role model.
Oriane de Auzenne, Artoirel's wife ( ♥ Alive, NPC )
Justinielle's mother, whom she loves as family, but feels perpetually in conflict with.
Lucienaux de Auzenne, Priest of Halone, current heir of House de Auzenne ( ♥ Alive, PC )
Justinielle's twin brother, and the most important person in her life.
Arquette de Auzenne, dragoon in training ( ♥ Alive, PC )
Justinielle's younger brother. She feels responsible for him and tries to be reliable, but the war built many bridges and their relationship isn't as sincere as she'd like.

Rumours
Last updated: 26.10.2020
Some of these rumors are untrue, speculation, or are greatly exaggerated.
Common Rumors - Easily overheard
"That brute with the Zweihander? I can't believe anyone with a sane mind would dare pick such a loathsome weapon. Who knows where this girl's allegiance goes to?!" - An old conservatist noble in the Pillard
"Ser Justinielle was crowned champion of the Whitebrim's jousting tournament but a moon ago. Quite a display of unconventionnal fighting, and a very nasty bird who had a fitting name: Wrath. I wouldn't try to pet that bird if I were you, least you want to lose an arm." - A squire at Whitebrim
"It is past time the girl stops playing little games and get back to her place. She's getting old already, and I heard her beauty has been greatly damaged by whatever she thinks she was doing. Not that she was a beauty to behold to start with... Ha, I would be so ashamed, were I her mother. It shall be so very hard to marry her. Men likes their women fragile, and docile, and pretty... Who shall ever desire to be wed to this fierce ugly beast?" - A gossiping noble lady in a fancy tea salon
Uncommon Rumors - A little more difficult to hear.
"Justinielle?! Oh dear... I dared call her brother a twat and I can still remember the slap on my face. I was five. What a percuting personnality..." - An amused noble at the Church
"Never saw her cry. Never heard her complain. Not the kind to whine or gossip. She's rather tough and sometimes brutish, but when you get to know her she's actually quite an amicable and endearing fellow. You don't believe me? Well, she probably doesn't like you then. It will be hard to change her mind, unless you kick her ass in a duel." - A dueling addict at the Forgotten Knight
"You mean that crazy knight who spent three suns shouting at Ser Clement in front of the Congregation? What happened? Did they finaly got to duel?" - A curious passer-by in the Brumes
Rare Rumors - Very rarely overheard.
"I respect her for cheating Death so many times. When that dragon attacked our unit, I really thought she was done for. I saw her withstanding dragonfire. I saw her standing in the flames. I saw the look in the chirurgeon's eyes when her body was dragged out of this mess. How she survived is a mystery, but it changed her. And I'm not only talking about her face." - A veteran knight at the Congregation
"Hear me out! What if...what if her brother was actually the one fighting the war, and she...she took his place as a priest! What? No, I swear to Halone, they look the same! They do! It could totally be true!" - A drunk giggling man at the Forgotten Knight
OOC Notes

Player Notes
Hello, I am a european player, and I split my time between alt characters I only use for RP. Due to my time-zone (UTC+1, or CST), meeting for RP may require some time to work around schedules, but I am always available on discord!
Personal RP Limits
I am a chill player interested in co-creating fantastic storylines and in depth characters development. I rarely DM events but it is something I can do, and I also offer to NPC. I like my life drama-free, so if you start OOC arguments you'll never see me again.
I will play pretty much everything with a preference for dark mature RPs, inter-personnal conflicts, psychological dilemmas and character relationship building.
I won't play any themes around rapes and pregnancy. Please respect my boundaries.
Character Lore Adherence
I abide by the lore and try my best to respect the background of the game. I usually read a lot before taking IC decisions and I like to keep myself informed on everything revolving around my characters' themes.
I am not perfect, so if you are a lore nerd I'll gladly accept your constructive feedback to refine my characters' background and roleplay.
As a matter of fact, I am elitist and will avoid playing with players who makes 0 effort to stick with the lore. I also consider myself neutral in the balance of realistic playstyle and fantasy: I am usually flexible as long as you don't play OP high fantasy characters for the sake of "winning".
RP Hooks
I am currently looking for:
A squire: someone who wish for their character to become a knight ICly and follow Justinielle's training.Veteran friends from the Dragonsong war or the Ghimlyt Dark frontlines.Dueling or jousting rivals whom Justinielle wishes to beat and will harass for a fight, or whom she has beaten and hold a grudge against her.
Personality

Justinielle's Knight Oath
« I vow to be everywhere and always Ishgard’s champion of Justice.
I shall make my heart a sword of steel. I shall not doubt, will never fear. Like St Finnea shall I stand strong, and against all Her enemies I be Her ward.
To the Church do I pledge my faithful words. I vow to Thee obedience and chastity, for tempérance shall lead my arm in battle. Never shall my motives be led astray by impure thoughts: my mind is a temple, sacred, to honour the Fury.
In the name of Halone, I hereby give myself entirely to Ishgard and the defense of its people. And if only one knight must remain as a last bastion against the Horde, I shall be that one. »
Personality traits
BoldProbably the first word one would think when talking about Justinielle. She has always been a topic of debate within the family, before becoming a topic of controverse at large. At a young age, she had to thrive for attention as the only daughter amongst three brothers. And she did so by perpetually challenging the established consensus. Now Justinielle is not afraid to "dare" anything, even putting her life in the balance if needs be, just for a chance to shine and prove her worth.
StubbornWhen Justinielle wants something, she will relentlessly and actively seek it out. Day after day. Year after year. Defeat after defeat. If she sets her mind on something, there is little one can do to convince her to give up.
Thus, at 5 did she decided she would become a knight. She became a squire at 15, and a knight at 21.
At 6 did she decided she would never wear a dress again, as the damn clothes were highly uncomfortable to climb up trees and bridges. She tear down all her petticoats and muddied all her frills until she was finally of age to chose how to dress. She has never been seen without an armour on since then.
At 12 did she decided she would master a weapon no one would ever master as well as her. She picked a Zweihander. Everyone rained down hell on her for such a controversial choice. She ended up getting her family's approval somehow. As well as shutting down any who would now challenge her on her pick.
At 16 did she decided she would never get married. She made a vow of chastity at 21 and avoided all wedding promises so far.
At 22 did she decided she could become the first female Lord-Commander. That ambition has yet to become true...
PragmaticAs a war veteran, Justinielle grew up to be tough, cold, and extremely pragmatic. Her vision lacks of empathy, usually driven by necessities, and motivated by the greater good.
She is led to think that small mistakes can cause tremendously horrible consequences. Therefore, she often comes out as brutal, or extreme, in some specific situations.
LoyalJustinielle does value loyalty and honour. She abides by her oaths, and she is loyal to her family. Her word means something, and she usualy stay true to her friends. But above all oaths and above everyone else lies her loyalty towards her twin brother. There is nothing more precious to her, and she will always, no matter what there is to lose for her, protect her twin brother.
Aromantic / AsexualSome have tried to court her, but...in vain! Justinielle feels no sexual drive. She has no interest in romantic relationships either, finding the Valentione tales quite ridiculous at best. It does not mean Justinielle does not fall in love: it means her affection to someone translates in a very different manner.
Motivations
PrideThere is no greater pride for her than being her brothers' hero. Although she would never admit it, her greater fear is to ever read disappointment or pity in her twin brother's eyes. Such would be a wound she would never recover from. As a matter of fact, she's used to hide her own fears, her sufferings, or anything that would make her look weak. She endures silently every wounds, and every offenses, just to give herself the appearance of someone tough, invincible, and not easily swayed.
AmbitionJustinielle has dreams bigger than her. But she tends to reach them, and find new dreams along the way. There is one she never reached: to become the Lord-Commander. A mountain so high, it fuels her will to hone her skills and measure her worth constantly against her betters.
Role ModelJustinielle has suffered greatly from the genre prejudices in her childhood. A lack of females to look up to in the highest spheres of Ishgard, Valentione tales that she would have rather traded against wooden swords, uncomfortable dresses that would always come up in the way of climbing rocks and playing in the mud, a rigid education, and a dominant environment that tried to force her to remain speechless. She broke free and proved her worth, shifting the path of her fate towards knighthood rather than sewing needles. She thrives to be a model for little ishgardian girls to look up to, and hope she will allow them to dream of claiming a position in the highest spheres one day. Thus she set her own ambitions above the skies, so she may reach a point so high that her family name would live on with her legend.
